Many people are now turning to more natural-based products and this is not only for themselves but for their pets and this includes those who own horses. There are several reasons they may want to do this.
While there can be a lot of benefits to using natural horse products, there are a lot of precautions that have to be taken when using them.
Just because something is classed as being “all natural” doesn’t automatically make it safe. Many of the natural products have not been properly tested. It may not be known in what quantity the natural ingredients are safe for consumption by the horse.
It may also not be fully known how a horse may react to a natural ingredient. This can be particularly dangerous for both horse and rider.
When buying natural horse products it is highly important to determine the credibility of the source of the products. It is not wise to use these products because they have been home developed by someone that is not fully familiar with the chemistry and anatomy of a horse. Natural products should not be used unless a qualified vet gives their approval. Something simple could be highly dangerous.
